FAQ: The 12V battery with PCM - mounting position

Question: Can the 12V battery with PCM be mounted in other position (e.g. vertical with contacts on the side)?

Answer: Generally said, the standard position is the most optimal position for the mounting of the 12V battery with PCM.  Since the PCM battery does not have any electrolyte, it is fully sealed and does not have any safety vents, there is no technical reason preventing the battery from being mounted to other positions.  This type of battery can be mounted in other positions.

Note:  the situation is different for the large capacity cells with safety vent. These types of cells need to be mounted in the standard position with the terminals on top.
