Solar panels on the barn-house

Solar panels on the barn-house

Question: I have a small barn (wood farm-house) with a large roof located about 800 m from my house. This barn is connected to the main house by the same 230V AC line. Can I put the solar panels on the roof of the barn and use the energy in the main house?  Is there any problem with the distance?

Answer: Yes, you can connect the solar panels to the AC line in the barn and use the energy in your main house. Please note that you need to have the equipment in the house connected on the same phase with the wiring to the farm house.  Also we suppose that the wiring to your barn is of good quality with at least 2.5mm of the diameter of the wires.

This is the advantage of the microinverter technology that you can have your panels located where-ever you have the 230V AC grid nearby.
