The solar eclipse in Europe - March 20th, 2015

The influence of the solar eclipse on the solar installations. The last partial solar eclipse in Europe was in 1999. At that time there were no solar installations. In 2015 the solar eclipse tested the grid response to the drop of the solar production. Especially because the weather was excellent with fully bright sky and the solar eclipse was close to the noon time.

The upper diagram shows the drop of a solar installation in Germany. The diagram bellow shows the influence of the solar eclipse at a small size east-side oriented photo-voltaic installation.
