FAQ: Question about testing the SBM and CBM boards

Question: I tried to verify the function of SBM module and the CBM boards using a laboratory power supply. It seems that the SBM does not work properly. What to do?

Answer: The SBM and CBM boards are designed to work with a real battery as a power supply. The extremely low internal resistance and the unlimited current of a real battery cannot be simulated by a power supply.  It is not possible to use the power supply to simulate the battery.

For testing of SBM function we suggest using small capcity batteries (1Ah or less) to make the tests. Such batteries may be purchased at some online resellers.
