Lithium Titanate Cells - endurance and abuse stability The LTO cells have an increased endurance and abuse stability. The anode material is made of titanate oxide (LTO) which is non-conductive. That is why during some instances of abuse conditions the LTO cells remain thermally stable and safe. For example during a severe overcharge conditions the temperature will not exceed 80°C. Also during short-circuit the temperature of the cell (not including terminals) will not increase above 55°C. This test data shows that the LTO cells are among the safest lithium technology products. | |
