LTO cells and batteries - extremely long life span

The most significant advantage of the LTO (lithium titanate oxide) cells and batteries is the extremely long life span even at high charge and discharge rates. 

The typical life span is given at 20,000 cycles (1C at 80% DOD, till 80% capacity). However more optimistic outlooks give even higher values up to 30,000 cycles or even more. 

This means the shelf and operational lifetime at daily cycling is beyond 50 years.

Even at high current applications and high speed charge and discharge cycles, the life span will be many years, bringing multiplied return of investment into this safe and stable lithium titanate technology.
