About LiFePO4: Lithiatediron phosphate (LiFePO4) is the solution for the safety issues associated with the positive electrode. Lithium iron phosphate is also known as LFP for short in the battery industry.

LFP gives a reasonable calendar life and excellent cycling characteristics when operated at moderate temperatures. The energy density of LFP‐based materials is much lower than LiCoO2 or mixed metal oxides, but the high rate capability of LFP‐based batteries makes them attractive for applications in variety of fields.
