FAQ: Simple solution for charger disconnection

As previously explained the DC chargers should not be left connected to the battery packs. A simple solution allows the charger disconnection.

The AC powered DC relay (or a DC contactor for higher DC ratings) is connected between the charger and the battery pack.  This DC relay is powered from the charger AC source.

When connected to AC mains the charger is connected to the battery pack instantly and the charging can proceed. When charging is finished and the charger is turned-off (from the AC mains) the pack is disconnected as well.
