Unequally Yoked - Combining different batteries FAQ: Is it possible to connect a 200AH cell and a 400AH cells together in parallel to get a 600AH cell? Technically it is possible to connect the cells in parallel. However for the stable performance and optimal energy flow, only cells of the same (or very similar) capacity should be connected in parallel. This means you can easily connect two 300AH cells to get 600AH capacity. If you connect unequal cells together the performance of the smaller (weaker) cell will influence the large cell. Note: the cells are usually connected in parallel (P) first and after that in series (S). For example the 4P10S pack means 4 cells in parallel and than 10 series of these 4 parallel cells. | |
