FAQ: How many cells are supported by BMS123? 

The BMS123 supports up to 255 cells. This makes the max voltage of the battery pack at some 930V DC (at 3.65V per cell). However for safety reasons we do not recommend working with above 400V battery packs. Also any installation with DC voltage above 48V requires special procedures to avoid risks of electric shock. 

Due to the serial communication between the BMS Main unit and the cell modules, the response time of the BMS Main unit and the PC-dashboard software is growing with higher number of modules.
