FAQ: With the news regulation in Germany, it is possible to have the headlight powered from the EVBike Battery. Do you have any solution?

Answer: We keep suggesting that the headlight (white) and back light (red) should be battery-independent with their own power. This is also for your safety if your battery becomes fully discharged during your trip at night. We do not offer the sales of these products because these lights can be easily purchased from local bike-shops.

The EVBike batteries do not support the 5V or 12V output for the headlights now.  Even though the controller and display unit may have the support function available, the physical wiring is missing. The „light sign“ is available only as the backlight for the display.

If you wish to have a 12V output for your headlights or 5V for LED lights or for charging your 5V mobile device, we suggest you make your own solution. You may use some suitable type DC/DC converters for 5/12V output. On eBay or Hobby-King you can find many cheap items, like this one LM2596HVS DC-DC. The DC/DC inverter is powered directly from the 36V of the EVBike battery.
