Q: I have Kyocera 167G solar panels. Can such panel be used with micro-inverters. Answer: If the MPPT voltage of the solar panel is above 20V, such panels can be used with the GWL micro-inverters. The Kyocera 167G has the MPPT at 23.2 V. You can connect one panel to one micro-inverter. The micro inverter will work at 70% power because it is rated for 230Watts and the Kyocera 167G will supply ony about 160Watts of solar power. This is quite OK: simply said the micro-inverter will work relaxed at 70% of its max power. This extends the life-span of the micro inverter. | |
