FAQ: Is there any limit on the maximal capacity of the Winston cells?

FAQ: Is there any limit on the maximal capacity of the Winston cells?

No. There is no limit. The maximal size of the commercially available cells is 1000 Ah. (The 7000Ah and 10000Ah cells are not available for public sales). You can put more cells in parallel to increase the capacity of the battery bank. In this way, there is no theoretical limit.

FAQ: Is there any limit on the maximal capacity of a battery for a sail-boat? (For example, some kind of safety regulation limit, etc.)

No. As far as we know, there is not any limit. The only limit is the loading capacity of the boat based on displacement tonnage.
