Say No! – The Energy Storage Black Box

 

This photo shows the internal design of the energy storage black box from a Chinese supplier.

The battery pack consists of 75 cylindrical cells welded together into a fixed pack. This pack is stuffed into the 19” PC rack. See for yourself.

Clearly visible issues

  • Undocumented type of cells with no given specifications, history or origin.
  • Undocumented type of customized BMS.
  • No way to make a repair or service, in case any of the cell has a failure or becomes defective.
  • The terrible way of the wiring and the over-all setup design.
