FAQ: Is the “CE Mark” required for the battery products?

The CE Mark communicates to the user that the product complies to the European standards. The CE Mark is applied to complete products, usually not to subparts or components (unless directly required).  Different standards are related to different products. This means that there are different technical norms that will decide the compliance of e.g.: electric bicycles,  electric vehicles, battery solutions for household energy backups, batteries inside electric toys.
