![]()
The Akumon 12V LP battery monitor board GWL/Power is introducing a specialized battery monitor and balancing board to allow easy management of 12V lithium monolithic batteries. The Akumon battery management board has following functions: voltage level monitoring with 3 target voltage levels: the low voltage (battery is discharged), the balancing voltage (the battery is fully charged), the over voltage (the voltage of the battery has increased over the maximal level). There are two open emitter transistors that allow signaling the voltage levels to other devices. These two signals are: the low voltage level (typically bellow 10V), the over voltage level (above 17V) The Akumon also provides the balancing function for the optimizing of the final part of the charging process. When the balancing voltage level is reached (typically 15V), the Akumon board connects a resistor to load the battery. This way the charging current is reduced and battery is balanced. In addition to the primary balancing resistor on the board, there is a connector for external load that allows to increase the balancing load when needed. Please note: The Akumon does not provide the power contactor function. In order to disconnect the power circuit under load some external high current relays or contactors must be used. These are NOT provided with Akumon. Additional information about the Akumon board and its function will be released in the coming days. | |
