- Always charge the battery to full before the first use, or after a period of no-use (e.g. after winter-pause)
- When the battery is new, do not try some extreme high-speed charging or discharging (during the first 5 to 10 cycles). For few first cycles we recommend to use only 50% of the full capacity.
- Never discharge the battery to fully empty, if you discharge the battery to full empty, (the voltage is bellow 10V) this means the “death of the battery”. There is no way to repair or recharge such a damaged battery.
- Always monitor the voltage of the battery and use some devices to protect the battery against deep discharge or over charge. This way you make the use of the battery safer against unwanted damage.
- Always disconnect the battery from the device, if you do not plan to use the battery. This way you protect the battery for slow discharge over along period of time.
(These tips are writen for 12V batteries, but apply to 3.2V cells as well)
