RT-BMS components detailed information (obsolete 2009/2010)

The photo of the Cell Ballancing Unit (CBU). Each 3.2V needs one CBU unit. The CBU units measures the parameters of the one cell, handles the ballancing and communicated with the the BMS Master unit.

Types of the CBU units

CBU - standard Cell Ballancing Unit (CBU)

CBU2 - standard Cell Ballancing Unit with 2 connectors (marked ACC)
           allows to split the dataline and thus disconnect the battery pack
           Note: you can use CBU2 as CBU connecting just one connector.

CBUX - standard Cell Ballancing Unit with terminal resistance (marked ZR)
           must be installed at the end of the dataline.

Comment: In our lifes somethings go wrong. If any CBU module has a factory fault we will be glad to replace it for you. If the CBU module gets damaged due to the customer fault, we will be glad to repair the module at a small fee.  However if this happens, you may loose precious time during the installation. That is why we suggest to get extra CBU/CBU2 modules and extra CBX module so that you can have replacement modules on hand when installing.
