FAQ: Larger capacity of LTO cells

Question: I am interested in a larger battery bank with LTO cells. Can you give me your suggestions how to build a large battery pack?

Answer: At this moment, the largest single cell capacity available is 55AH. If you need a bigger size you need to connect cells in parallel.  As explained, always connect only the cells of the same nominal specifications, model and type. (See here)

Examples:

48V/100AH
we suggest to use 48 pieces of the CP-LTO-55AH cell in 2P24S. Two cells in parallel will make the nominal capacity 110AH. The 24 series of the two-cell blocks will make the nominal voltage 48V. (Note: optional possibilities are to use the 20 series combination - 2P20S - or the 22 series combination – 2P22S. The decision depends on the required voltage levels)

24V/150Ah
We propose using 30 pieces of the CP-LTO-55AH cell in 3P10S configuration. Three cells in parallel will make the 165Ah nominal capacity. The 10 series will make the 24V nominal voltage.
