The BMS123 Smart - CHARGE AND LOAD relays

The OUT board of the BMS123 Smart is equipped with two bi-stable relays to allow the control of the LOAD and CHARGE status. 

The contacts for these relays are identical. The functions are explained here: 

• Middle PIN - 2 - CO - Common Wire (switching to PIN 1 and PIN 3)

 

• PIN 1 -  NO - “Normally Open” - this contact is open during normal situation. During irregular situation this contact will change to “CLOSED”. 

 

• PIN 3 - NC - “Normaly Closed” -  this contact is closed during normal situation. During irregular situation this contact will change to “OPEN”.

 

The on-board relay is designed for max 2 Amp currents.  For higher currents, and for connection to AC systems, you always need to insert additional separating relay (or contactor) to allow switching higher power ratings.
