Question: What is the maximum cell size (Ah) for a single CBM1 balancing module? Answer: There is no maximum cell size limit for the CBM1 module. The CBM1 can be used to balance both small (<10AH) and large cells (>200AH) or anything in between. The effect of balancing is dependant on the charging current, not on the size of the cell. If the charging current is higher than the balancing current, we suggest avoid long time balancing of the packs. The experience shows that it is much advantageous to finely balance the pack by means of charging to the same voltage level rather than balancing the pack using the passive balancers like the CBM1. | |
