Restoring a partly discharged cell

Restoring a partly discharged cell

A customer reference of restoring a party discharged 3.2V 10Ah cell with low voltage of 1.28V at the terminals:

  • I applied 50mA and the voltage increased to 2.5v, then I switched to 1A (0.1C) and reached 3.6v; no heating or swelling on the battery.
  • After that I repeated 2 cycles of discharging/charging between 2.7V and 3.65V at 0.15C discharge and 0.1C charge current following a standard LiFePO4 charge pattern (CC/VC)
  • The measured capacity is around 11Ah (110%).
  • Attached are last charge/discharge graphs.

Good job!
